Laser Scanning Prague: The Charles Bridge

On their 2nd international assignment, the laser scanning team at Structural Modeling & Analysis documented historic sites in Prague, Czech Republic using the newest laser scanning technology. Featured below are images and a fly-through video of laser scans taken of the Charles Bridge.

The Charles Bridge was completed in 1402 after 45 years of construction.  Since its completion it has survived several disasters, the latest being the flood of 1890 were two pillars and three arches collapsed.  Several of the statues along the bridge where lost.
